1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using PackKit in any way, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use PackKit.

2. Description of Service

PackKit is a personal gear management and packing list app that helps you organize your inventory, build trip packing lists, and pack with confidence. PackKit is operated as a sole proprietorship.

3. Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. Accounts are personal and non-transferable; don't share yours. You must be at least 13 years old to use PackKit.

4. Acceptable Use

Use PackKit for its intended purpose. You may not:

• Use PackKit for anything illegal or harmful
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service
• Submit data containing malware or code intended to interfere with the service
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. Subscriptions and Paid Features

PackKit Pro is a paid subscription that unlocks additional features.

Plans and Pricing

• Monthly: $2.99 / month
• Annual: $22.99 / year (~$1.92 / month)

Prices are in USD and may vary by region due to local taxes or App Store pricing tiers.

Free Trial

New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. You won't be charged until the trial ends. Cancel before it expires and you won't be billed.

Billing and Renewal

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Renewal charges apply within 24 hours of the billing period end.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time through your App Store account settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep Pro access until that date. Cancelling does not entitle you to a refund for the current period.

Refunds

All billing is handled by Apple. Refund requests go directly to Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com. PackKit does not issue refunds directly.

Price Changes

We may change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice. Continuing to use PackKit Pro after the change takes effect means you accept the new price.

6. Your Data

Your packing lists, inventory, and trip data belong to you. We store it to run the service and sync it across your devices. For details on what data we collect and how we handle it, see our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual Property

PackKit's design, code, branding, and content are owned by PackKit and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms don't give you any rights to use our name, logo, or branding. Your content (your lists, item names, notes) remains yours.

8. Disclaimers

PackKit is provided as-is and as-available. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate. We make no warranties, express or implied, about the service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PackKit is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Termination

You can stop using PackKit at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, with or without notice.

When your account is terminated, your right to use the service ends. We may keep certain data for a limited time where required by law (for example, to resolve disputes or meet legal obligations). We don't hold onto personal data longer than necessary.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we'll notify you by email or in-app notice. Continuing to use PackKit after changes go live means you accept them.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA. Before taking formal legal action, please reach out to us at [email protected] first. Most issues can be worked out directly. If a dispute can't be resolved that way, it falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Washington State.
